Close your eyes...if you listen closely, you might be able to hear it. It’s the last school bell of the year, and hearing it ring means that school is out for the summer!! It will be here before you know it, so you’ve got to start making plans now for some great fun! Super Summer Kickoff is the perfect way to celebrate God’s creation and jump right into all things “camp!” We’ll spend a hot afternoon floating down the cool clear waters of the Mad River, and we’ll pay a visit to SuperGames where you’ll get to play on giant inflatables and challenge the climbing wall!

Some people just love sports. They play sports. They watch sports. They live sports. If you are one of those people, you are a “sportsmaniac!” At camp this year we will learn the value of hard work, teamwork, and team play. Come to Camp Wesley and enjoy a week of activities focusing on the sport of your choice. The grand finale for the week will be the ultimate all-camp sportsmaniac relay race. Which team will finish first??

S14: Basketball – Learn new games and skills and practice the ones you may already know. We will also cover ball handling training techniques, agility workouts, shooting drills, and of course, have live games.

S24: Endurance – For serious runners only! Lace up your running shoes because we will be running around every inch of Camp Wesley’s trail system and more! Once used as a high school cross country course, Camp Wesley has some beautiful yet challenging terrain to condition even experienced runners.

S34: Aquatics – Whether we’re practicing swim strokes or having a canoe relay race, we will be focusing on games, activities, and skills related to being in or on the water.

S44: Mountain Biking - Come to camp this year without having to leave your bike at home! That’s right; bring your bike to camp, along with your backpack, helmet, and other protective gear, as we’ll be riding our bikes on the trails at Camp Wesley. We’ll use our bikes to go between activities like worship, canoeing, archery, campfire, meal times, even shower times!

S54: Field Sports – Team games require team work. In Field Sports, we’ll focus on classic team sports like soccer, flag football, and ultimate frisbee. A trip through the Camp Wesley challenge course will help us to explore the meaning of “team work.”

S64: Golf – Bring your own clubs! We will practice different aspects of the game at Camp, including teeing off right into the Camp Wesley Lake! Our week’s activities will include a trip to a local golf course for a genuine round of golf. Goofy pants not necessary.

S74: Fishing – The Lake at Camp Wesley is rumored to have some gigantic fish. Will you be lucky enough to land a lunker? This week we’ll fish the 19-acre lake for all it’s worth, exploring different kinds of bait, tackle, and fishing techniques. We’ll even have a fly-fishing expert visit us to demonstrate fly casting. Campers are welcome and encouraged to bring their own fishing gear.

“You-Tube” has nothing on us! With your group, you will get to write and direct your own videos that will be used in daily worship. Learn about your faith, then spread the Word. O-Tube will be the best new tradition yet! In addition to all the great stuff you already get to do at Otterbein, being a part of O-Tube will help you discover and use the gifts God has given you—whether it’s being in the spotlight or behind-the-scenes—God can use you!
