See what the future holds for our camps!
2005 was a year of Master Planning for our three camp and retreat centers. The consulting firm, Kaleidoscope, met with staff, volunteers and the Committee on Outdoor and Retreat Ministry throughout the year to hear of the dreams and plans to design the facilities that will serve into the future. The final plan is very exciting, including new youth lodges and a re-fitting of the lodge for adult accomodations at Widewater, new retreat space and log cabins at Otterbein, new lodges and a yurt village at Wesley.

The master plan will be officially unveiled at Annual Conference in June 2006, but our Camp Directors can share with you the plans now if you are at camp, or they are at your church.

The Committee on Outdoor and Retreat Ministry will be working on prioritizing the projects and will begin to seek funds to live into an exciting future of serving you and our churches of West Ohio!

WESLEY
The plans for re-creating the facilities at Camp Wesley include replacing the summer cabins with a yurt village and a new bathhouse, adding two retreat lodges, expanding the dining hall, a new program center and much more.

OTTERBEIN
The plans for enhancing our facilities at Camp Otterbein include a new log cabin village for summer campers, new retreat and leadership lodges, a new dining hall, expanded recreation area, and much more.

WIDEWATER
The plans for enhancing our facilities at Widewater include converting Harmony Lodge to an adult facility with bathrooms in each bedroom, adding three youth lodges, a new dining center, and other activity areas around the site.
